1st Impressions
1st Impression Team Members should be faithful, available, submissive, teachable and willing to be held accountable. Ideal team members will possess a genuine love for people, have a “customer service” mindset (Gal. 5:13), and share our church’s commitment to excellence (Col. 3:23-24).
As “doorkeepers in the house of the Lord” (Ps. 84:10), responsibilities include reporting to your team captain no later than 30 minutes prior to the worship service; warmly greeting worship service attenders; making it a priority to get to know 1st time and returning guests; escorting visiting parents to our children’s ministry check-in station; helping the security team spot suspicious behavior and answering questions about the church. Volunteers at Vanguard are expected to schedule a substitute when unable to serve and notify their direct report who that substitute will be (contact info for subs provided).
